After the second season announced its winner, fans were crazy for the third season and aspirants were determined to prove their talent this time.

In order to fulfill everyone’s expectations, So You Think You Can Dance season 3 was premiered on May 24, 2007 and in the season opener the auditions were held in New York. In the second episode of the season, we saw the next auditioning round held in Los Angeles, CA and Chicago etc. Third auditioning stop was in Atlanta and the contestants chosen by judges during these three auditions were selected to go to the next rounds of competition.

In this season, we once again met Cat Deeley as the host and it was her second consecutive season on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. Cat’s last seasons’ appearance let her to reach fans’ hearts and this season, the lady once again did an awe-inspiring job. Nigel Lythgoe returned as the permanent judge and the second judge was choreographer Mary Murphy. People were crazy for the dancing stars and this time,

So You Think You Can Dance received more response from viewers as compared to the previous two seasons. Approximately 16 million votes were cast and the season finale announced Sabra Johnson as the winner. Season finale was aired on August 16, 2007 and on this day, Sabra Johnson became to owner of $250,000 and also the title of ‘America’s Favorite Dancer’. Danny Tidwell ended as the runner-up. On the season finale, it was announced that the series had been picked up for fourth season.
